Camps

Increased independence, improved social skills, unplugging from technology, increased physical activity and creating lifelong memories are just some of the benefits of our annual camp program.

An expansion of our student camp program now sees students in Years 3-6 participating in annual camps as part of a focus on outdoor education. Our camp program has students partaking in a variety of exciting overnight educational experiences with focuses on aboriginal education, ecology, aquatic education, adventure and wildlife education. Camps are held in some great locations near the beach, in the hills, in wildlife venues or on working farms.

Excursions/Incursions

All of our camps and excursions are conducted to enhance and support classroom studies. They often provide practical experiences to extend learning in a particular curriculum area. Some of our excursions over the last 12 months have included the Adelaide Zoo, Cirkidz Circus Skills, Tea Tree Gully Heritage Museum, Gorge Wildlife Park, Maritime Museum, Aquatics at Waterworld and the Art Gallery of South Australia.

We also have incursions at the school where external educators facilitate sessions on sites such as 3D Design and Printing, Virtual Reality Education Sessions, Port Adelaide Football Club Youth Programs, special theatre productions, online safety sessions, financial literacy programs and Active Ed Dance Programs.

Games Club

We offer a Games Club in our multi-purpose room that is staffed by Educational Support Officers each lunch break. This provides a great alternative to outside play and the library at break time for children looking for something quiet to do.
