Year 7 has a been a great year and being School Captains has been a huge privilege. Being a School Captain involves setting a good example for others and trying your best. It is about respecting your peers and teachers as well as respecting the environment and learning. You need to have a positive attitude and be supportive.
Saint David's is a great primary school. It has helped us to be who we are. Saint David's has taught us about respect and accepting everyone. We are going off to Gleeson College next year and we will miss Saint David's because of the great community spirit. We have loved the school since we both started in Reception.
As Year 7 leaders, the students in 7K and 7Z have had a great year. Our Term 1 Camp at El Shaddai was lots of fun and gave us the chance to bond and reflect on our roles as leaders in 2018.
Sports Day then arrived with our Sport Captains leading the way and encouraging the younger students to try their best.
A chance to raise money and support the Mary MacKillop Today foundation was a strong incentive when making and selling items at the annual Mary MacKillop Fete Day – it was lots of fun too!
Transition visits this term have given us the chance to prepare for an exciting new time in our lives.
2018 has been full of surprises, and it has been great fun. I encourage others to nominate for the role of becoming a Captain at Saint David's and we wish them the very best.
