Congratulations to Laura and Eliasz on the birth of Liam Edward on Thursday 3 January. Laura has promised to bring in Liam and visit the current Receptions who were in her transition class last year.
Further congratulations go to Nicola and Nicholas Black as they prepare for the birth of their first child in May.
Welcoming Mass
We welcome everyone to our Beginning of Year Mass this Thursday. At this Mass we are looking forward to commissioning our School Captains who represent the Year 6 cohort. Congratulations to all our Year 6 students for modelling our school values through their behaviour, wearing correct uniform, and being polite, punctual and helpful individuals.
Building Project
If you have been following the Saint David’s PS Construction Project Facebook https://www.facebook.com/SaintDavidsConstruction/ you would be up-to-date with where the project is at.
Discovering we had concrete pylons under the foundations of the previous classrooms, which were not marked on the plans, came as a shock to all of us. The good news is they are being removed and hopefully no further “discoveries” will delay our project!
P&F Meeting
I would like to personally invite all parents to our first P&F meeting for the year, which will be held on Thursday 14 February at 7pm in the staff room. This will be a meet-and-greet along with some planning for the 2019 school year. I would like to thank the P&F executive members for their continued support.
Finally, on behalf of Saint David’s Parish School, I would like to thank all parents for their continued support of our school community and I look forward to seeing as many of you at our annual Meet and Greet Night on Tuesday February 12 commencing at 6.30pm.
